Release notes on the 2.17 firmware update?

Sorry if I missed it somewhere

So far the 2.17.4 firmware is working well. Just did a 'delicate' run, all trays AND an additional narrower tray on the top of the tray assembly turned out PERFECT!

Hey Brent, would you please put a short mention of the 'missing' updates in this forum. I know editing the users manual (pg 62, Chapter 17, "update change log") is a PIA, but some idea as to figure out if it's worth the time to update possibly damage the board would really be beneficial to the owner/operator.

Why not put the release notes in the install instructions vs. the owners manual? I suspect that folks who read release notes like me and Mr. Foster, are used to looking for that information somewhere other than the owners manual. It might also simplify your documentation review overhead to not include the more dynamic release information in the relatively static owners manual documentation.

Our owners manual is actually pretty dynamic, that is why we dont offer a printed copy of it really unless a customer pays for the printed copy. We have updated the owners manual twice this week alone. We treat the owners manual as the single most up to date repository of information for the freeze dryers since it is easy to update that as opposed to updating videos or such. It is possible for us to put the release notes somewhere else, but for our purposes the owners manual is the best place that we update the most. Admittedly though we are a little behind on the software release notes.

Hey Nathaniel,

The release notes are in the owners manual, but admittedly I have not updated it for 2.17.2 yet. here are the notes.

REV 2.17.2

  • 15% heat ramp control added to Liquids, Quickstart, and Meat to prevent ramping of temperature too quickly.

  • Fixed bug for default temperature and pressure under settings not saving properly.

REV 2.17.1

  • Both boards can now auto factory reset when new code is uploaded to the machine.

  • Added 4 phase recipes to Delicates, Fruits and Greens.

  • 15% heat ramp control added to Delicates, Fruits, and Greens to prevent ramping of temperature too quickly.

  • On 2B boards, either pressure input works. Allowing for direct connection to pressure sensor or connection through buffer board to the sensor

Thanks
