BA LG, FW 2.17.4, NAVAC NRD series commercial vacuum pump. Downloaded the latest A00106 owners manual, searched for suggested/recommended vacuum pump lubricant filtering for particulate and water separation with no results. What is Blue Alpine's suggested means/appliance/process to accomplish this preventive maintenance? Possibly add this maintenance task to the owners manual?

Hey Jim,
We are working on an active oil filtration here in the factory. You can also buy any brita style water filter and those work well. The one I have was $16 on amazon. Here in the factory we made an industrial 1 micron filter setup. So in general there are lots of options.
We recommend you change your oil every 120 hours, and that you only filter the oil 4 times before you toss it.
Let me know if that helps.
Thanks
Brent
Thank you, Brent. Hearing it from the 'horses mouth' takes the trepidation out of reusing the oil. I've taken to freezing the oil after letting it set for a day to allow separation of lubricant and water. Dumped the oil into a different container for later filtering, I've about a gallon needing filtering. Wife brought a Brita water filter home from Costco. Several owners cite using toilet paper as a filtering medium, rolled tightly and inserted snugly into the filter holder. I'll follow suit until the active filteration system is available.
